
Technical Assistant
Brandon Hodges is a real estate development and finance professional with over 15 years of experience in community development. As Principal of TRIBE Development, Brandon is responsible for development strategy – including site selection, entitlement coordination, project financing, and construction administration. Additionally, Brandon oversees all community engagement and public/private partnerships for the firm.
TRIBE specializes in workforce and affordable housing solutions, as well as commercial redevelopment opportunities. Through a focus on creative financing structures, including the use of Federal Tax Credit programs and local State and City subsidies, the firm is able to drive sustainable strategies for underinvested neighborhoods and communities across SE Michigan.
Prior to founding TRIBE, Brandon was the Director of Real Estate Development for a Detroit-based community developer. Brandon began his career in Bank of America’s Community Development Group, and sequentially worked in affordable housing lending with PGIM Real Estate.
As a champion for real estate education, Brandon currently serves as a teaching assistant for Building Community Value’s “Better Buildings, Better Blocks” real estate training and a project advisor for Capital Impact Partners’ Equitable Development Initiative.
Brandon was a Morehead-Cain Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
